If HFMD, lice, bedbugs, fleas, etc. are suspected, please use the detergent soaking method to assure the contagion has not penetrated into the padding.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;My child is using the RideSafer and there is a gap between my child&#8217;s shoulders and the top of the vest. It is acceptable to have a gap between the shoulders and the top of the vest as long as the shoulder seat belt is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Below the bottom of the earlobe of the child<\/li>\n<li>Correctly routed through the shoulder belt guide<\/li>\n<li>Crossing the center chest<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Does the RideSafer Travel Vest have an expiration date?&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1532137293340-943c8c29-0467&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Vests that were manufactured between 2004 and September 2013 do not have an expiration date. However, the Gen3 vests, manufactured after September 2013 have a 10-year usable life.<\/li>\n<li>Vests manufactured in and after May 2023 have an expiration date of 5 years from the date of purchase.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Can I use the RideSafer Travel Vest on an airplane?&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1532137363980-ee1af479-c99d&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The current versions of the vests cannot be used on airplanes because we require a tether to be used with a lap-only seat belt. Car seats do not automatically need to be replaced following a minor crash.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>What defines a minor crash?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>A minor crash is one in which ALL of the following apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The vehicle was able to be driven away from the crash site.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The vehicle door nearest the car seat was not damaged.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">None of the passengers in the vehicle sustained any injuries in the crash.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the vehicle has air bags, the airbags did not deploy during the crash; and<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is no visible damage to the car seat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Can the RideSafer Travel Vest be recycled?&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1532137801786-273c3bb0-0a1d&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Yes.
